mariposa

Less than 1-hour from Yosemite National Park, Mariposa is a gateway town to Yosemite and offers all of the comforts of home—restaurants, bars, shops, and community. A historic gold rush town, Mariposa also offers access to many other natural areas to explore including the Sierra Foothills and Merced River.

Our Mariposa location sits on a 340 acre old ranch property. This home includes all the amenities of home: a kitchen, electricity, bathroom, WIFI, dining area, living room with furniture, fireplace, and a back patio with mountain views.

Community Hosts

Amble's community hosts are our local partners in sabbatical destinations who are in need of creative services. These organizations are nonprofits and conservancies whose missions are to serve, protect, and enrich the communities and natural environment around them.

Yosemite Conservancy

Yosemite Conservancy provide grants to Yosemite National Park based on the highest-priority needs of the park. They fund trail and habitat restoration projects, wildlife-protection programs, scientific research and more to preserve and protect Yosemite’s natural wonders and enrich the visitor experience. They also provide Youth in Yosemite programs which transform the lives of youth of all ages, while youth help transform the park.
